Jos Dirix exhibits in splendid sculpture garden
The bronze statues of Jos Dirix will be displayed at the 2024 summer exhibition of BIG ART & GARDEN in the village of Gees from July 20 until September 1. This sculpture garden in the northeast of the Netherlands is one of the largest and most splendid sculpture gardens in the country. BIG ART & GARDEN organises yearly exhibitions of high-end art by talented artists from home and abroad. In this spacious, park-like scenery Jos Dirix's statues complete this year's summer exhibition of all in all 30 artists.
An extraordinary experience at the unveiling of Jos Dirix's statues
Saturday July 20 at the opening night of Gallery BIG ART & GARDEN a festive event will take place at 6pm near/between the statues of Jos Dirix. Guitar virtuoso Eric Vaarzon Morel will accompany a blazing bronze casting session by Bronze Foundry Custers from Grathem. The way Vaarzon Morel plays the flamenco, with its folkloric fierce and fiery timbre, makes the live casting of a statue by Jos Dirix in bronze an intense sensory tangible experience.
