Broadcast of The Bronze Story July 2 and July 3

We proudly present: The Bronze Story! And we’re happy about it!

The Bronze Story focuses on sculptor Jos Dirix and his honourable assignment for the city of Weert: the creation of the eighth equestrian statue in the Netherlands: Philip de Montmorency, better known as the Count of Horn, on horseback. Horse and horseman come to life in bronze. The documentary also tells the story of the Count, a Dutch historical figure of great importance. About the fatal journey of Philip de Montmorency, about 450 years ago, to Brussels.

Creation, history and a hint of drama.

The production of the documentary by Orange Label Films was initiated by Jos Dirix Sculptures. Many of the people who contributed to the production and who are in the movie are from the Southern Dutch province of Limburg. So you are warmly invited: Tuesday, July 2 and Wednesday, July 3 at 9 pm on Omroep L1. The Bronze Story!
